A Legacy of Excellence Since 1925

The Texas Chapter was formed int 2019/20/21 . This is just a place holder. For a hundred years, the Prince of Wales School in Freetown has stood as a beacon of knowledge, discipline, and leadership. Established to promote science and modern languages while breaking barriers of denominational education, it has shaped generations of leaders across Sierra Leone and beyond. Our Mission

The mission of the Prince of Wales Alumni Association (Texas) is to engage graduates in meaningful activities for charitable and educational purposes that will provide lasting support for the students and the school.

Purpose

The Old Princewaleans Association Texas (POWAA-Texas) was founded in 2020 and incorporated in 2021 by a cohort of former students of the Prince of Wales Secondary School residing in Texas who saw the need for substantial financial, material and infra-structural support to the school. We aim to provide tools for educational development and to improve the quality of teaching and learning at the Prince of Wales School in Sierra Leone.

Goals for Membership

Create an avenue to organize and unite Alums of the Prince of Wales School who live in the state of Texas, to foster camaraderie and maintain the prominent level of integrity and educational standards to which they were accustomed while attending the Prince of Wales School.
Promote, foster, develop, and sustain cordiality and a unified goal conducive of the goals of the membership organization through regular updates about the status of the school, and quarterly professional development activities such as discussion forums on current Science. Engineering, Financial topics, and monthly face to face social gatherings to encourage members to be successful and relevant to their chosen careers.
Provide support to The Prince of Wales School to maintain the prominent level of integrity and educational standards to which the school was accustomed while the Alums attended the institution.
Provide material support towards the development and enhancement of the students and their preparation to become useful and respectable citizens of society
